Portlock Black Cultural Center Dedication Recap
This is great lecturing. Engaging and spontaneous, without being confusing. And informative to boot.
Beth Mowins is the most annoying announcer ever. She ducks!
Well now we know where the mentally of mañana came from, Franco & Spain. Well now (2024) America is trying to start a war with Russia. Something to think about. Our ancestors came to the Americas to get away from European problems and the wars that they have been fighting for over 2000 years and since 1940s we have sent our American blood and treasure to Europe to fight, how stupid are WE. They had been dying a great job dying without us before.
Brilliant. Thank you for this
6:59 Indeed, no one wins a war - everybody looses. Also, every soldier that goes into battle die - even those who return home alive.
Was it when Germany decided to invade a load of countries again?
Ha! Weiner
Dope 😂
this"central pwrs almost won Spring1918"is just silly. an all in attack,w/a losing hand, period.
great(!)talk.crap"microphone choreography"...
That's a powerful, I can't wait to submit my early decision.
Did he say “towel heads”? Wow, that could trigger. I remember hearing it only on “John from Cincinnati” back in those days.
I regret not having found this man before, and feel so fortunate. To have him now!!!
Thanks for the lesson Larry David
Feynman was so good at sharing his fascination with physics and nature in such an engaging way
Reminds me of Richard Feynman
The implementation of the Idea and the "roots" to build up an army for "Bewegungskrieg" and therefore inventing the Panzerdivisions goes back to the 1920 with Hans von Seeckt in command. It didn´t start in 35 under AH. There is sometimes a bit much lack of precision in his lesson, but it is entertaining.
Hey, Lafayette College subtitles at 1:23:12 You're welcome...

What a jackass beginning comment! I just unfollowed you! Jackass!
World is made of water !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everywhere.
I am so glad to have experienced this gifted man.
I love this man’s passion for teaching. I hope his students appreciate it and learned from it.
His whispering for dramatic effect is inaudible on my phone
I wish this lecturer would STOP WHISPERING!!!
a few lies here im affraid.
I agree. WW1 still has effects on todays world. Am from Africa and my very existance is related to it as when Belgian Congo went to fight Germans in East Africa, part of the german territory in East Africa was under occupation in 1916 and then was removed and attached to Belgian Congo in 1919 (Versailles treaty)hence my grand father moving in later on in 1942 as a Congo Belgian soldier. This move lead to settling in Burundi and thus me coming to be. Even more important, the current Congo war is a direct result of border drawing between Rwanda and Congo and these borders are a result of WW1. If that partition didn t happen, Rwanda would have never existed as a country and this would have never generated the wars we have seen both in Rwanda and Burundi as well as Congo today
I see that this video is old, I hope the current group of teachers are as gifted and knowledgeable as is this man.
This guy is making shit up he talks about in the beginning about men trying to put women back down it's a bunch of bulshit propaganda.
There is no water crisis. There is only a private corporate ownership crisis.
58,220 killed in Vietnam...
Students.... don't know Who Lafayette was....? 35 percent at least...
If only Weimar had a Federal Reserve that coulda printed all of the money they needed (like here in the US)!
Everyone can do this. The trick is to pursue other countries to accept your currency for exchange on your conditions.
Tragic that such an “ advanced” culture as Germany fell into such a murderous regime.
All regimes fall into that trap, unfortunately. Only difference, is that the victors always rewrite history to portray themselves as the " heroes"
Who won? He fails to mention the USSR..
Well the professor is largely ignorant regarding European affairs between the interwar period, as well forgot to say the national and ethnical tensions and the will of changing the borders was a direct result if the injust treates of WW1. As well, Hungary had no direct territorial claims to Poland, but generally Czechslovakia, Romania and Yugoslavia (blatant mistake of the professor, even if Hungary lost a very tiny territory of Poland, the Polish-Hungarian cordial reslations did no end after nearly thousand years, on the contrary). Not a surprise in general Americans are very ignorant on European history affairs.
When Belgium and France re-occupied Ruhr in 1923, AH realized he needs the Rhineland as a buffer.
HurrayyyyI rejoice when hearing the indoctination camps are closing. Country is OVERSATUATED . If these schools are so needed and are so great then Why aren't they producing a sucessful ALUMNI that can contribute to save them. Thats how you know these schools are a SCAM. Just look at the ALUMNI.
